Umma University TVET Institute is a private Technical Vocational College registered by TVETA situated at Makongeni Thika, in Kiambu County on the Thika – Garissa Road. It is an academic department of Umma University (Kajiado Campus) that is offering diploma, certificate and artisan courses in: Electrical Engineering, ICT, Clothing & Textile, Business and Liberal Studies. Subsequent intakes will be thrice a year; in January, May and September. The college also offers CISCO Networking Academy courses and ICDL courses with weekly intakes and flexible learning hours.


Those who join the TVET Institute will find the experience stimulating, enriching and satisfying. Technical skills will be delivered by experienced Technical Trainers licensed by TVETA and supervised by a qualified TVET Principal.

The TVET Institute, Thika Campus has the following facilities: The Dr Abdulrahman Al Sumait Library, an Administration Block, lecture rooms, male hostels, female hostels, a dining hall, ICT lab, workshops / go downs, a conference hall, Boardrooms, a play field and a mosque.
