Umma University signs MOU with Gulf African BankUmma University signed a memorandum of understanding with Gulf African Bank Kenya Limited, the largest Islamic bank in Kenya on 27th April 2017.  The objective of the agreement was to promote a working relationship between the University and the Bank in order to support and develop student internship, practicum, and work placement to mentor them and help discover their talents. The partnership will provide opportunities to expose Umma University students to real world challenge during their training and after graduation, thus enhancing University students’ employability. The partners will also support each other in advancing knowledge generation and dissemination in areas of mutual benefits and agreement such as organizing local and international conferences, workshops, seminars, symposiums and medical camps. The agreement was officially signed by Prof. Mohamed Karama, Vice-Chancellor and Mr. Abdalla Abdulkhalik Managing Director of Gulf African Bank. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Ali Adan, Registrar Research, Innovation and Outreach of Umma University and Amina Bashir who is the head of legal and company secretary.
